My final piece is a variation on the bonnet shown in the film - An experimentation in creating of bridal veil from scratch, and in a bolder colour palette:
The veil is created from white tulle and edged with white lace, hand-sewn on, as well as hand sewn lace embellishments to the body of the veil. The bonnet itself is made from a 3D wire space frame, while the floral crown is in bold coloured velvet - This piece acting as a standalone floral hairband also.
There are a number of options available for this piece. For all of the below, pricing depends on the materials and style chosen.
- With a fully hand-made veil, such as the one shown, the price comes in at approx. €255 max.
- For a machine sewn veil made from tulle and lace, the price comes in at approx. €155 max.
- For a couture (hand-sewn) piece, with a premade veil, cost is approx. €105.
- For drama societies/ plays, a special price of €50 is available, using non-couture assembly techniques and pre-made veiling.
Please allow minimum 4 weeks lead time for this piece.

All Hats by Rachel products are made to order, by the business owner, to the highest level of quality and detail she sets as standard.
If, however, you are dissatisfied with your new purchase, please contact Hats by Rachel in writing to advise as to the reason for this, within 7 days of having received your order. If deemed reasonable upon inspection (please allow up to 24hr upon receipt of product for inspection), the customer may then arrange for return of the product at their expense, in exchange for either a refund or credit note. The product must be returned within 14 days of the customer receiving the order to qualify.
Products must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, with labels intact, must not have been worn, and in their original packaging. A refund or credit note cannot be issued if these criteria are not met.
Please be advised that choice of colours shown for the Collection headpieces may not be exactly as they appear on screen. Swatches of material can be posted to the customer upon request, subject to the appropriate postage fee. If you wish to match a Collection headpiece with an outfit, it is advised to avail of the Hats by Rachel Custom Colours Service, if available for that product.
Refunds or credit notes are only possible for Collection products, and not for Bespoke products. As part of the Bespoke service, a number of meetings are held with the customer to ensure their design is as they envisage, including swatch colour agreement.
